TC Citadel® now includes full-service token management; create, store safely, update automatically, and remove tokens when no longer needed, based on the client’s unique requirements.
South Coast Metro, California, October 5, 2017 — TrustCommerce®, leading provider of secure payment solutions and originator of tokenization, is pleased to announce TC Citadel® has been enhanced to offer full-service token management.
TC Citadel is a multi-use tokenization service used to store customer credit card and ACH information in the TrustCommerce secure Cardholder Data (CHD) environment. Once a credit card or ACH number is stored in TC Citadel, a six-digit, alphanumeric token (known as a BillingID) replaces all references to the card or ACH number. Tokens are not based on Primary Account Number (PAN) data, are unique to each client (not shared) and can be stored in plain text. Tokens can be used to process future one-time, recurring, installment, or subscription payments from many channels such as online, point of sale, and call centers.
Benefits include:
- Strengthened security and diminished PCI scope
- Simplified token management
- Agile solutions for operational ease
Customer information can change regularly. Therefore, managing tokens is essential in order to receive payment on time and ensure customer satisfaction. New services have been added to the TC Citadel suite to make this process smooth and seamless. These services help keep card data current and reduce security risk:
- TC CardCurrentTM keeps tokens up to date.
- TC UnstoreTM automatically removes tokens in bulk that are no longer needed.
TC CardCurrent is an account updating service that enables merchants to keep accurate customer payment card data on file when accepting repeat, recurring, subscription, and installment payments. For merchants who tokenize their customers’ card information for future transactions, this may result in fewer declines when customers’ card information changes due to theft, loss, or expiration.
The TC Unstore service provides clients the ability to identify and remove large numbers of stagnant BillingIDs automatically on a monthly basis, reducing clients’ security risk. A stagnant BillingID is one that has not been created, modified, or transacted upon within a client-defined period.
TC Citadel tokenization management services can be integrated to software via API, used with TrustCommerce products, and used in a variety of channels. Clients can search and report on tokens for a full view of customer payment activity.
